• 3/27/2008: Brian McDonald is in his junior year at Christopher Newport University. He is majoring in Communications with a minor in Political Science. This summer he will take part in an amazing journey performed by his fraternity's national philanthropy Push America. He will be leading a team of cyclists across America, from San Francisco to Washington D.C. The trip will last more than two months and will cover more than 4,000 miles and 13 states. While cycling is a major part of the trip, the main purpose is to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. This year alone the Journey of Hope will raise $500,000 for people with disabilities. If you want to learn more about Push America you can visit: www.pushamerica.org. • 3/27/2008: Nick Kohn has been nominated for a Kevin Kline award for Outstanding Lead in a Musical. Nick made his Broadway debut this month when he joined the company of Avenue Q. Way to go Nick! Nick graduated CHS in 1993 and was a member of Touch of Class, Light Touch, and concert Choir.

   

• 12/21/2007: Lauren Wingate got married September 1st in Cabo San Lucas and then spent two weeks in South Africa to have another wedding celebration with her husband's family. You can see the wedding at www.theprinsloos.com.

   

• 12/21/2007: Ken Barnum and his wife had a baby on November 30th. Hunter Charles Barnum was 7lbs, 6.2oz, 19.5 inches and he scored a 9 on his apgars (genius). Ken was a 1998 graduate.

   

• 12/15/2007: Krystin Goodwin is heavy into the film scene whether it be out in LA or Tallahassee. Last summer she won several acting and modeling contests in Orlando and was subsequently invited by an agent to visit LA and audition for several movies and commercials. She met several producers and casting directors (from the shows Lost and 24), and several of the production companies have kept in contact with her and are hopeful that she will return to LA to live next May after she graduates from FSU. She is currently mentoring with her Broadcasting teacher who is also a lead anchor at the Tallahassee CBS affiliate. She has produced, filmed, edited, and starred in two newscasts for the FSU News station "4FSU", which are visible on YouTube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEirtZ0YHFg and www.youtube.com/watch?v=yziME_k5de8. She worked backstage on the Bobby Bowden show and is the sports anchor for the school's news program "Seminole Showcase" and the FSU sports reporter for "The Hamilton show" which will be airing on SUN Sports starting in January. A 2004 alumni, Krystin was in Magic Touch and Touch of Class.

   

• 9/12/2007: Paul and Amy Scott are having a baby!!! She's at the 3 month mark just this week. Be sure to check out the baby blog page and subscribe to the RSS feed. Once you subscribe, you just click on the RSS icon in your web browser (eg. internet explorer) next time your online and select "baby blog" and select any of the headlines.....that's it! • 9/12/2007: We are excited to announce that Miss Sarah Pramstaller was married over the summer and is now Mrs. Sarah Austin. She and her husband David are residents of NY, NY. Sarah graduated in 1994 and was a member of Touch of Class, and Jazz Touch. Sarah is has been on Broadway, and is currently working for the School of Rock in Manhattan. Sarah continues to make regular visits to Chantilly as the Touch of Class choreographer.

   

• 1/17/2007: Johnny Elzein and his wife Amanda Thompson are expecting their first child (boy) on 5/13/07. Johnny graduated CHS in 1999 and was a member of Touch of Class, Jazz Touch, and Magic Touch. Johnny and Amanda live in Ashburn. Johnny is working for US Secret Service as an Audiovisual and Videoconferencing Engineer.

   

• 12/1/2006: In September, Bill Morris was appointed to the bass section of the Louisiana Philharmonic in New Orleans after finishing his second master's degree at Manhattan School of Music. While in New York, Bill performed numerous times at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Bill graduated in 1997 and was a member of the Chantilly Jazz and the Chantilly Jazz Combo that played for Touch of Class.

   

• 12/1/2006: Congratulations to Vince and Anne Marie O'Conner on the birth of their new baby girl. Grace Anne O'Connor entered the world on October 18th, and was 6 lbs. 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches. She has lots of black hair just like her mommy. Vince and Anne Marie graduated CHS in 1997. Vince was a member of Touch of Class and Jazz Touch and Anne Marie was a member of Touch of Class. The O'Connor's are currently living in Clovis, NM.

   

• Alumni Keven Reyes is soon to be a proud Daddy. He is currently a firefighter in Fairfax County. Kevin was a bass in Touch of Class and jazz touch
