Glen Cockrell, Director

 

Glen Cockrell, Director Since its inception in 1987, Mr. Cockrell has had an integral part in the growth and development of the award winning Chantilly High School Choral Music Department, and the Touch of Class.  Serving first as choreographer, show designer, arranger and co-director, Mr. Cockrell now heads the choral department and is the full time director of Touch of Class.

 

Mr. Cockrell has received numerous awards for his work with the Chantilly Choral Program, including recognition by the Virginia State Governors School, and Who's Who in American Education.  As a result, Mr. Cockrell travels throughout the region as a clinician, choreographer, and professional adjudicator.

 

Mr. Cockrell is also an active performer and professional musician in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  He often works as a studio musician, voice over specialist, guest soloist, music arranger, and Master of Ceremonies.  With a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in Vocal Music from James Madison University, Mr. Cockrell is pursuing advanced degrees in music and composition.

 

Mr. Cockrell resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Sandee, who is a dance instructor and physical education teacher in Fairfax county.  They have two sons, Joshua and Kostya and a daughter, Olga.
