Fundraising

The CHS Choral boosters have many fundraising activities throughout the school year. While some of these fundraisers are for the entire CHS Music Boosters group, the majority of the fundraisers allow you and your choral student to raise money for his or her account.

How do individual fundraisers work?

A percentage of the profit from individual fundraisers accumulates in your student's account. If you have a student participating in the CHS Music program, 80% of the profit accumulates in your student's account. For example, suppose you have a student in the CHS Music program, and you and your student participate in the Fruit sale by selling $100 of fruit. If the cost of that fruit was $40, the profit would be $60. The "points" associated with that profit would be added to your student's account, which in this example, would be 48 points. One point equates to one dollar. The points that accumulate in your student's account could then be used to "pay" for various chorus expenses, such as trip fees.

• Great Lakes SCRIP - Individual fundraiser

   

  To place an order or sign up use the free online ordering system. If you have any questions on how the online ordering works, you can read all about it in the instructions for ordering online. There are a wide variety of participating retailers.

   

  After you place your order, just print the confirmation form. Then just add the $1.00 handling fee and drop your check off with your area coordinator or you can mail your check to Donna Bell as long as she receives it by the due date. Please be sure to write your student's name and which music department they are in on the confirmation so we can be sure to credit the correct student account. If you have relatives in California that you would like to give a gift to, you can order it through GL Scrip. The GLSCRIP coordinator is Donna Bell.

Completed Fundraisers for school year 2007-2008

• TAG Day - Music Boosters fundraiser, September 15th. We had a very successful day, and our Choir kids collected over $9000 for the Choral department. It is because of efforts like this that we are able to maintain the quality of the Choral Music department at Chantilly High School that we enjoy having our kids involved in.

   

• Home Football Game Concessions - Music Boosters fundraiser.

   

• CinnaRolls Sale - Individual fundraiser, order forms are due on Wednesday October 3rd and Thursday October 4th. Pickup will be on Friday October 19th from 2pm until 6pm, Description from 2006-2007.
