The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society that motivates and recognizes musical achievement for students in secondary schools.

 

Tri-M:

Provides recognition and rewards for student achievement and service

Strengthens the school's music program

Builds awareness of the importance of music in our school and community

Encourages positive interaction between instrumental and vocal students

Motivates and challenges students to achieve on a higher level

 

 

Membership Requirements

 

Members are selected based on scholastic and musical achievement and leadership potential, as well as community service involvement.

 

To qualify, an applicant must:

  1. Be enrolled in a performing music class at Chantilly High School (guitar lab, piano lab, and/or music theory students are not eligible unless they are also enrolled in a band, orchestra, or choral course)
  2. Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. (selected applicants with a GPA under 3.5 must also complete a successful audition)
  3. Earn a minimum of 10 Service Credits per year.
